Hockey: Champions Club drubs Deshmesh Club by 3-0

JAMMU, Apr 19: Champions Club defeated Deshmesh Club by three goals to nil (3-0) in the ongoing 6th Shaheed Bhagat Singh Junior Hockey Tournament, being organised by Hockey J&K in collaboration with Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, Gulshan Ground, here.
From Champions Club, the first gaol was scored by Rajveer Singh in 8th minute, the second goal was scored by Kavleen Singh in 36th minute, while the third goal was scored by Aditya Balotra in 48th minute.
Rajinder Singh, Secretary General Hockey India was the chief guest on the occasion, while Jaswant Singh Senior Vice President Hockey J&K was the guest of honour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Harnam Singh, Daljeet Singh, Gurdayal Singh and GS Bakshi, General Secretary Hockey J&K.
The match was officiated by Rajinder Singh, Ishtiyaq, Sohail Aziz and Joginder Singh, while the tournament is being held under the supervision of Dr Taran Singh, Organising Secretary.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Young Khalsa will take on Bhargava Sports Club in quarterfinal at 3:30 pm, while Champions Club wil face MRS Simbal Camp in the first semifinal at 4:30 pm.
