28th Annual Football C’ship culminates

JAMMU, Mar 10: Outstanding journey of Hero FC and J&K Police during the 28th Annual Football Championship helped the top two team to entered 2nd round of the ongoing championship which is scheduled to be held Srinagar soon.
Today two semi-final matches of Jammu Edition were played at GGM Scicence College Ground. The first semi-final match was played between Param FC & Hero FC which proved to be an exciting and thrilling match and received great appreciation from the spectators over ball control dribbling and man to man marking.
In the first half of the match, the Hero FC scored two goals in the 38th minutes & 45th minutes and virtually dominated during the first half of the game. The opponent team struggled hard to find the net but succeeded in 54th minutes of the game but in 2nd half of the game, Hero FC once again netted one more goal and won the match by 3-1 goals.
In 2nd match which was played between J&K Police XI and Shaheen FC. Both the teams exhibited quality Football and both teams tried hard to take the lead but no one was able to score in first half. In 2nd half of the game, the J&K Police dominated the field and put pressure on their opponent. In the 85th minutes of the 2nd half J&K Police XI scored its goal and maintained the lead till the end and won the match by a solitary goal. However, the performance of the Shaheen FC was extraordinary during the tournament and their game was always applauded by the spectators.
The tournament was organized by JKFA and same was sponsored by JKSC.
