Jammu, Nov 29: Helpage India, a secular social service society, organized an impressive Prize Distribution Function in the Morning Assembly of Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, here.
The management members, students and teachers were given special prizes for the useful contribution given by them.
On the occasion, Neeru Sharma (Senior Executive) from Helpage India along with the Principal Gaurav Charak and Incharge Akashdeep Raina gave away the prizes to the students who have collected the highest amount.
In individual category of students, Ankush Singh of class 3rd-B collected the highest amount of Rs 2560 followed by Sania of class 3rd-A with Rs 1320 and Priya Charak of class 8th-B with Rs 1300.
In class-wise category, the students of class 3rd-B collected the highest amount of Rs 7065 under the guidance of their class teacher Sonia Chib followed by class 10th with the collection of Rs 6406 under the guidance of Poonam Verma while class 3rd-A collected an amount of Rs 4904 under the guidance of Inderjeet Kour.
Teachers who collected the highest amount were Bhumica Jamwal (Rs.1881), Amita Choudhary (Rs.1561) and Arpreet Kour (Rs.1000). On the occasion, all the Incharges namely Akashdeep Raina, Ajay Sharma, Sandeep Zutshi, Rekha Mehra and Amita Choudhary were also rewarded with prizes and certificates. Special appreciation certificate and memento was given to the Principal by Helpage India for the valuable contribution of more than Rs 80,000.
While speaking on the occasion, Principal of the Institution said that we all must come forward to help the poor and needy so that we can overcome their sorrows to some extent and be a part of their happiness.
Neeru Sharma from Helpage India thanked Principal, management, staff and students for showing keen interest to collect the money for the welfare of elderly people who can’t wait for tomorrow.
