JAMMU, Oct 11: Outplaying their rivals in the semifinals, Hanumant and Akhil Khajuria have qualified for the finals and will lock horns against each other in the Sub Junior boys summit clash of the ongoing Jammu District Open Table Tennis Championship, being organized by Jammu District Table Tennis Association, under the auspices of J&K Table Association at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
Earlier, in Sub Jr boys semifinals, Hanumant defated Manya by (3-1) and Akhil Khajuria trounced Rohan Langer by (3-1).
In Junior boys semifinals, Ritvik toppled Ketan by (3-1) and Manandeep defeated Azad by (3-0), while in Youth boys semifinals, Ritvik beat Ketan by (3-0) and Manandeep outplayed Arnav by (3-2) and in Cadet boys semifinals, Rohan Langer defeated Akhil Khajuria by (3-1) and Many beat Saksham by (3-0).
In Cadet girls semifinals, Iknoor outclassed Suhani Singh (3-2) and Hargun Gupta outplayed Gauri Gupta by (3-0), while in Sub Junior girls semifinals, Hargun and Meghna Jain got better of Archita Kesar and Ishmeet by (3-1) and (3-2) respectively.
Jhanvi prevailed over Meghna by (3-0) and Shreya drubbed Ishmeet by (3-0) in Junior girls semifinals, while in women’s singles semifinals, Shazar thrashed Surbhi by (3-1) and Jhanvi got better of Shreya by (3-1).
The finals in each section will be played at the same venue tomorrow, which will be followed by a prize distribution ceremony.
