SRINAGAR, June 2: The Hockey Jammu & Kashmir elections were conducted at Hotel Namroz, Srinagar, under the supervision of the J&K Sports Council and Hockey India. Sekar J Manmohan, Treasurer of Hockey India, acted as the official observer, while Musbat Ismail, Deputy Legal Remembrancer, served as the Returning Officer. Goutam Shukla was also present as an observer from the J&K Sports Council. The elections took place in a congenial atmosphere, ensuring a smooth and fair process.
Sekar J Manmohan congratulated the newly elected team and assured full support from Hockey India to promote hockey in Jammu & Kashmir. Musbat Ismail expressed confidence that the new team would work effectively with the backing of the J&K Sports Council.
As per handout issued, Gurdeep Singh was elected President of Hockey J&K. Other office bearers elected include Senior Vice Presidents Jameel Mustafa and Sanjeev Kumar; Vice Presidents Manjeet Singh, Manbeer Kour, Amarjeet Singh Nangyal and Jasvinder Kour. Dr. Taran Singh was elected Secretary General, with Tejinder Singh as Secretary. Joint Secretaries are Raja Fazal Abbas and Shaista Shafi. Treasurer is Raviraj Singh; Resident Secretaries are Baljeet Kour and Ranbir Singh. Members Executive are Binod Singh, Shelav Sharma, Sandeep Malgotra, Rinkal, Sheikh Tanveer Ul Haq, Robin Singh and Magandeep Sudan.
