JAMMU, Dec 6: Governor N. N. Vohra felicitated Meenal Gupta who, accompanied by her father Atul Gupta, met the Governor at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Governor congratulated Meenal Gupta for winning a gold medal in the Girls U-14 Category in the “Commonwealth Chess Tournament” which was held in Sri Lanka earlier this year. He gave her a prize of Rs. 31,000 and assured her of all required support for further advancing her prowess in this game. The Governor spoke to Meenal and her father about the facilities available to the girl for pursuing her passion and promised help if she encountered any hurdles.
Governor congratulated Meenal’s father and wished her continuing high success in all her future endeavours.
