JAMMU, Dec 10: Gourav defeated Vijual by 3-1sets and clinched the Cadet boys title in the ongoing 33rd Jammu District Open Table Tennis Championship, being played at Indoor Sports Complex MA Stadium, here today.
Earlier in the semi-finals, Gourav got better of Shivanshu by 3-0 sets while Vijual trounced Hiteshwar by 3-1 sets, whereas in Sub junior boys first round, Suryansh beat Hiteshwar by 3-2 sets, Akshit trounced Gourav by 3-1 sets and Amay got better of Sehaj by 3-0 sets.
In Sub junior girls semi-finals, Iknoor defeated Mishti by 3-1 sets while Ragini beat Divyanshi by 3-1 sets.
The matches were officiated by Gurvinder Singh Sasan (NIS coach), Sandeep Khadotra (NIS coach), Vasu Dewan, Meenu Rajesh and Asad Sharma.
