REASI, May 24: Wrestler Gopi of Ludhiana, Punjab lifted “54th Annual Mari Kambal Danga Dangal title” by defeating Wrestler Tejveer of Rohtak, Haryana at Kambal Danga, here today.
The competition was organized by Jai Peer Baba Dangal Committee Mari Kambal Danga (Reasi) in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma, Advocate Pawan Dev Singh, Sarpanch Maheshwar Singh and other members of the dangal committee.
Deputy Commissioner Reasi Ravinder Kumar was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed cash prizes among the wrestlers in presence of Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council Shiv Kumar Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi Babu Ram, Additional SP Sanjay Rana, Tehsildar Reasi Rajesh Kumar, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Dr Swarn Singh Chib and social activists and wrestling promoter Ram Paul Sharma, Assistant Manager HR NHPC RS Prabhkar, Advocate Pawan Dev Singh, SHO Reasi Jasbir Singh, Ex-Sarpanch Murad Ali, Rattan Singh and Deepak Wazir.
