JAMMU, Sept 24: Annual Wrestling Competition was organized by Tohana-Tibba, Satrayan Ground, here today. The competition was organized by Panchayat Sattowali, Satrayan in the memory of a great saint and a social reformer Peer Monga Nath of Watala, now in PoK, District Mirpur.
On the occasion, former Minister RS Chib was the chief guest, while Honorary Captain Parkash Singh Chib, Sarpanch, all the members of Panchayat, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MLC, TS Bajwa, Ex-MP Rajya Sabha, Hari Singh, senior Congress leader, Kartar Singh, President, Baba Dharam Chand Chibal Trust, Nud, Akhnoor, Surinder Singh Manhas, President Yuva Rajput Sabha, Surinder Singh, SDPO RS Pura were also present.
A large number of wrestlers from J&K, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh took part in the competition.
While speaking, RS Chib described this wrestling event a symbol of brotherhood, communal harmony and source of inspiration for the rural youth. He further stated that Peer Monga Nath was a symbol of secularism among all sections of society.
In the competition, the first prize was shared by wrestler Gopi from Ludhiana and wrestler Kaka from RS Pura.
