JAMMU, May 26: The students of GD Goenka Public School Jammu, governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust experienced International exposure when an Educational during their trip to NASA, recently.
During the 12 day long trip, the Goenkans visited NASA Space Centre where they were engaged in several challenges including the launch of Rocket, Robotics etc.
The students spend three days, touring the facilities at the Kennedy Space Centre.
Besides meaningful interactions with the NASA Astronauts, they explored the launching and the landing of space shuttles, understanding the mechanism of Robotics at MIT (Massa chutes Instuitions of Technology), riding a shuttle launch simulation and many more.
For recreation, the children witnessed the wonders of ‘Universal studios and ‘Sea world’ at Orlando, where several interesting activities were held.
“The Maiden of Mist ‘The Niagra Falls’ was absolutely breath-taking and  truly captivating.
The children also got an opportunity to visit the ‘Empire State Building’, ‘Times square’, ‘The Statue of Liberty’, ‘Wall Street’ and Ground Zero at New York.
The White House and ‘Lincoln Memorial’ at Washington D.C. MIT (Massa chutes Institute of Technology) and Boston University too were visited.
The Principal of the School, Dr R P Singh said that it is just a beginning for International Exposure at the Goenkan Acres.
