JAMMU, Feb 10: G D Goenka Public School Jammu governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust celebrated Green Conclave in a big way in Goenkan Acres, today.
The Conclave was organized to make the students aware about Mother Nature and their duties towards her.
The students of class III came all decked up as fruits and vegetables and spoke on nutritive values of their vegetables, their native place and benefits.
The students of class IV prepared salads by using innovative ideas.
A total of 28 groups participated in the salad making competition.
Group number 27 was judged as the best for their presentation, aesthetic sense, taste and ingredients used, followed by group number 2.
The students of class V, came up with power point presentation on medicinal value of plants namely Aloe vera, rose and lavender etc.
Speaking on occasion, School Principal, Dr R P Singh stated that such types of activities should be organized more often so that children get exposure, learn co-ordination and explore their world of interest.
