JAMMU, May 3: Inter School and Zonal Level Tournaments, being organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports in different disciplines were played at various venues.
SATWARI: Inter School Competitions in the discipline of Kabaddi, Volleyball and Kho-Kho for under-14 and 17 boys conclude here today at Government High School, Jammu Cantt.
In under-14 Kho-Kho final, GM Model School Satwari beat GMS Rakh Bandu by 7-6 points, whereas in under-17 final, GHSS Bhour Camp defeated GHSS Mandal by 10-8 points.
In under-14 Kabaddi final, GMS Bhure Chak beat GHS Laxmanpura by 21-6 points, whereas in under-17 category, GHS Jammu Cantt beat GHS Sure Chak by 28-13 points.
In under-17 Volleyball final, People Academy Old Satwari beat GHS Jammu Cantt by straight 2-0 sets.
AKHNOOR: Inter School Zonal Level Tournament for under-14 and 17 girls in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Kabaddi and Cricket were played at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor.
In under-17 Kabaddi, GHS Nasrari Bala defeated GHS Maira Mandrian and GHS Basui beat Model Institute of Education Gurha Brahmana, whereas in under-14 category, GHS Suhail registered win of St Francis HS School by 2 points.
In under-17 Volleyball, GHS Sunail beat Chander Bhaga HS by 2-1 sets and GHSS Akhnoor defeated GHS Sunail by 2-0 sets, whereas in under-14 category, Chander Bhaga HS School defeated GHS Sunail by 2-0 sets.
In under-17 Kho-Kho, St Francis HS School defeated Model Institute of Education by 5 points, whereas in under-14 category, GHS Devipur defeated GHS Mera Mandrian by 2 points.
RS PURA: Inter School Tournament in the discipline of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Wrestling and Cricket were conducted at Government Boys/Girls Middle School, Mill Area, RS Pura.
In under-17 Kho-Kho final (boys), GHSS Sai beat New Brilliant High School RS Pura, whereas in under-14 final, GHSS Chakrohi defeated Brilliant Public School RS Pura.
In under-14 Kabaddi final (boys), Holy Cross Convent School RS Pura lifted the title trophy, whereas in under-17 final, GHSS Chakrohi registered win of GHSS Daskhar.
In under-17 Volleyball final, Holy Cross Convent School RS Pura beat Indira Public High School RS Pura.
BISHNAH: Inter School Tournament for boys concluded today at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Bishnah.
In under-17 Kabaddi final, GHS Sarore beat GHSS Bishnah by 7 points, whereas in under-14 category, GHS Chak Jarallan defeated GHS Deoli by 37 p;oints.
In under-17 Kho Kho final, GHS Chal Musar beat GHSS Rehal by 6 points, whereas in under-14 category, BMS Bishnah crushed GHS Chak Murar by 2 points.
In under-17 Volleyball final, GHSS Bishnah beat GHS Majna by 2-1 sets.
MARH: Inter School Tournament in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Volleyball for under-14 and 17 girls were conducted at GHSS Marh.
The final match of under-14 and 17 Kho-Kho were won by GHS Shamachak and GHSS Shamachack by defeating MRLD Burj Mandir and GHS Burj Mandir respectively.
The final matches of under-14 and 17 Kabaddi were won by MRLD Burj Mandir and GGHS Ghou Manhasa by defeating GMS Akalpur and Manik Public School respectively.
The final matches of under-14 and 17 Volleyball were won by GGHS Sangrampur by defeating GHS Marh Bagh and GGHS Shamachak respectively.
BHALWAL: Inter School Zonal Level Competition in the discipline of Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Wrestling for under-14 and 17 boys gets underway at GHSS Bhalwal.
In under-14 Volleyball final, BHMP Barnai beat APS Domana by 2-0 sets, whereas in under-17 category, APS Domana defeated GHS Kangrail by 2-1 sets.
In under-14 Kabaddi final, GHS Gurha Brahmana thrashed GHS Kangrail by 8-2 points, whereas in under-17 category, GHSS Domana defeated GHS Kangrail by 17-0 points.
In under-14 Kho-Kho final, GHS Batehra defeated GHS Seri Pandita in sudden death, whereas in under-17 category, GHS Seri Panditian beat GHSS Domana by 2 points.
In under-14 Wrestling, Sukhvinder Singh of Modern Public School emerged winner in 32 kg category, whereas in 35 kg category, Mohammad Aslam of GGHS Agore bagged first position, in 38 kg category, Abhishek Sharma of GMS Amb bagged first position, in 41 kg category, Ansar Khan of GGHS Agore secured first position and in 55 kg category, Sakhatib Ali of GMS Keran emerged winner.
In under-17 Wrestling, Ankush Kumar of GHSS Bhalwal bagged first position in 42 kg category, whereas in 46 kg category, Sumit Kumar of GHS Batehra bagged first position, in 50 kg category, Akash Kumar of GHS Ranjan Thati emerged winner, whereas in 54 kg category, Ankit Sharma of MHAC Nagbani, in 58 kg category, Arjun Singh of Bharti Shiksha Kender Domana bagged first position, in 63 kg category, Daler Khan of GGHS Agore bagged first position and in 69 kg category, Garu Kumar of GHSS Bhalwal emerged victorious.
JIB: Zonal Level Inter School Tournament for under-14 boys concluded at mini stadium, Udhampur.
In Kho-Kho final, GHS Sattainy emerged winner by thrashing Parshant Public School, whereas in Kabaddi final, GMS Jakhani bagged first position and GMS Barian secured runner-up position.
In Volleyball final, GHS Rown defeated GMS Jaganoo and emerged winner.
In Wrestling, Sunil Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Sushil Kumar and Sandeep Singh emerged winners in their respective weight categories.
TIKRI: Zonal Level Inter School Tournament commenced at Government Higher Secondary School Tikri for under-14 and 17 girls.
In under-14 Kho-Kho, Government Middle School Manthal emerged winner, while Government Middle School Tikri remained runner-up, whereas in under-17 category, Government High School Hartayan emerged winner, while Government High School Seen Brahamana stood runner-up.
In under-17 Volleyball, Sainik Cooperative School and Government High School Seen Brahmana emerged winner and runner-up respectively.
In under-14 Kabaddi, Government Middle School Mora Gujjran emerged winner, while Sainik Cooperative Tikri stood runner-up, whereas in under-17 category, Government High School Chiryai emerged winner, while Government High School Seen Brahmana bagged runner-up position.
SAMBA: Inter School Zonal Level Cricket Tournament concluded at Samba Stadium. In the summit clash, Samba Zone crushed Ramgarh Zone by 10 runs and lifted the title trophy.

KATHUA: Inter School District Level Tournament in the disciplines of Chess and Wushu for under-14 and 17 boys and girls were held at DAV Collegiate School Lachhipur and Sports Stadium Kathua.
In under-17 Wushu (boys), Shamsher Singh of Kartar Public School Barnoti got gold medal under 40 kg category, while Gagandeep, Amritpaul, Jagneet Singh, Sadar Hussain, Rajat Singh and Arjun Singh of Manu Shiksh Kendra Rajbagh secured gold medals in under 44, 48, 52, 56, 60 and 65 kg weight categories respectively.
In under-17 Wushu (girls), Nilu Devi and Babli Devi of GHS Lakhanpur bagged gold medals in under 32 and 36 kg weight categories respectively, while Samrity, Reshma and Rubina Bibi of GHSS Kirian bagged gold medals in under 44, 48 and 52 kg weight categories.
In under-14 Wushu (boys), Chandan Sharma of Manu Shiksha Kendra Rajbagh bagged first position in under 36 kg category, while in under 40 kg category, Nikhil Rajput of Kartar Public School Barnoti emerged winner, in under 44 kg category, Sahil of HSS Kirian bagged first position, in under 48 kg category, Shubam of GMS Kathua C secured first position, in 50 kg category, Gulshan of GMC Kandroh stood first, in under 52 kg category, Vishal Kumar of GMS Kathua C emerged winner and in under 56 kg category, Ayush of Kartar Public School Barnoti bagged first position.
In under-14 Wushu (girls), Jillo of GHSS Kirian, Komal of GHSS Kirian, Komal Rani of GHS Kardoh, Kaneza of GHS Kardoh and Pallavi of Kartar Public School Barnoti bagged gold medals in under 32, 36, 40, 44 and 48 kg weight categories respectively.
In under-14 Chess (boys), Vivek of Spring Dales Kathua trounced Shivam of hosting DAV Collegiate School Lachhipur, whereas in girls’ category, Jigyasa of Shiva Public School Kathua crushed Ridhima Gupta of Jammu Sanskrit School Kathua.
