HIRANAGAR, Oct 15: On the occasion of “World Student Day” a symposium was organized in the premises of Govt. GLDM Degree College, Hiranagar on the topic “Contribution of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam to Science & Humanity”.
Principal of the College, Dr. Naresh Kumar Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion.
Paying rich tributes to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on the occasion of World Student Day, Principal of the College highlighted the contribution made by former president of India and urged the students to follow the foot prints of Late. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and make India great country in the comity of nations.
Six students presented their views on the topic. Shubham Sharma, Priyanka Verma and Poonam Choudhary were adjudged Ist, 2nd & 3rd respectively, while Priya Sharma got the consolation prize.
The jury members were Prof. Rakesh Sharma, Prof. Arun Kumar & Prof. Tarunveer Singh. Welcome address was presented by Prof. Vijay Kumar HoD Botany, Prof. Rakesh Sharma presented the formal vote of thanks. Prof Monika Mahajan HoD Computer Science was also present on the occasion.
