GHSS Shastri Nagar emerges winner

JAMMU, Sept 25:  Government Girls Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar won four out of five competitions held under Gandhi Mahotsav at the Zonal level, here today.
About 80 students from 14 Schools of Jammu participated in the competition held in Gandhi Nagar in essay writing, painting, slogan writing, poem recitation and speech. Karmanakshi, a student of GGHSS Shastri Nagar secured first position in the essay writing, while Simran Kaur of Digiana High School stood 2nd and Sakshi Thakur of Kahna Chhadgal Government Higher Secondary School stood 3rd, while consolation prize went to Sonia Kumari of High School Pul Tawi.
Neha Rana of GGHSS Shastri Nagar took first place in the poem recitation, while 2nd and 3rd positions were secured by Sonia Rani of HSS Bahu Fort and Saloni of GHS Deli respectively, besides in the painting competition, Damanpreet Kaur of GGHSS Shastri Nagar secured first position, while Komal of GMS Gorkha Nagar and Prince of GHS Gandhi Nagar won 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Rabia Kausar of GGHSS Shastri Nagar stood 1st in slogan writing, while Saffa Arif of GHSS Bahu Fort and Razina of GHS Bathindi remained 2nd and 3rd and in speech competition, Shahanshah Jahan of GHS Digiana won first place, while Khushboo Kapoor of GGHSS Shastri Nagar and Tanu of GHS Deoli stood 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Principal Geetu Bangotra congratulated the School team and their incharge teacher Monika Jawwal for the outstanding performance.
