JAMMU, Nov 23: Inter school (Cluster Level) tournament was organized by Govt. HSS Mandal and Govt. HS Sohanjana in association with Bharti Foundation, the Philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprise at Mini Stadium Bhure Chak Mandal, here.
In this tournament, a total 13 Govt and Private institutions participated in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Tug of War, Volleyball, Carrom, 100 Meters Sprint, Spoon Race and Sag Race (Boys and Girls).
About 1000 students including boys and girls along with 30 Teachers /Master participated on the concluding day.
Chief Education Officer Jammu, Kulvir Singh was the chief guest on the occasion, who highlighted the values of Games & Sports and wished them good luck in future.
The tournament was inaugurated jointly by JR Sharma, Principal GHSS Mandal and Rita Angral, Headmaster GGHS Sohanjana.
Tug of War Under-12 years boys final, GMS Bhure Check beat RM Public School by 2-0 Sets, while Tug of War Under-14 years boys final, GGHS Sohanjana beat GMS Sampuran Kullian by 2-0 Sets, Tug of War Under-17 years boys final, GGHS Sohanjana beat BM Public School Makwal by 2-0 Sets and Tug of War Under-19 years boys final, GHSS Mandal beat Mandal Club by 2-0 Sets.
Carrom Under-12 years boys final, GHS Sure Chak defeated GHS Sohanjana Carrom Under-14 years boys final, GGHS Sohanjana beat RMPS Kirpal Pur
Carrom Under-17 years boys final, GGHS Sohanjana beat BM Public School Makwal
Kabaddi Under 14 years boys final, GMS Bhure Chak beat GMS Mandal by 4 points.
The matches were officiated by Hardev Singh, Ravinder Singh, Amit Kumar, Kuldeep Singh, Pushpinder Singh, Kanchan and Gourav Dubey.
