JAMMU, Feb 6: Govt. Degree College Surankote defeated Govt. Degree College Hiranagar by 50 runs in the ongoing inter-collegiate Cricket tournament, being organized by Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at University Ground, here today.
Batting first, GDC Surankote gave a target of 167 runs in the stipulated 20 overs match, wherein Ghulam Ali made highest 89 runs , while Toheed and Mudasir contributed 21 and 16 runs. From the bowling side, Ankush took 2 wickets and Druv got 1 wicket.
In reply, GDC Hiranagar failed to chase the set target and succeeded to score 117 runs by losing 8 wickets in the stipulated over. Harish scored 39 runs, while Rishav made 29 runs and Ankit contributed 12 runs to the total. From the bowling side, Waheed and Sarmad took 3 wickets each while Usman got 1 wicket.
Vijay Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Raj Kumar and Manoj acted as umpires, while the match officials were Sadiq Hussain and Tahir Mahmood.
