GDC Samba organizes quiz competition on “Life and Works of William Shakespeare”

JAMMU, May 13: Shri Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Government Degree College Samba today organized a quiz competition on the topic “Life and Works of William Shakespeare”.
Organized by the Department of English, the quiz competition was dedicated to honouring the timeless legacy of William Shakespeare, the Bard of Avon. The competition aimed to engage students in a lively exploration of Shakespeare’s life, his literary masterpieces and their enduring relevance in today’s world.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof (Dr) Twinkle Suri, Principal of the college, encouraged students to continue exploring literature with enthusiasm and curiosity. The quiz competition featured questions covering various aspects of Shakespeare’s life and works, gave opportunity to the participants to showcase their knowledge and passion for Shakespearean literature.
Four teams, each comprising four students participated in the quiz competition. The participants were engaged in rigorous rounds of questions, demonstrating exceptional expertise and academic excellence. Team comprising Mehak Sharma, Shreya Singh, Harshita Chib and Tania Katal from Semester II emerged as winner and they were awarded for their outstanding performance. The quiz competition not only celebrated the unparalleled legacy of William Shakespeare but also fostered a spirit of camaraderie among students.
The whole event was coordinated by Kasak Gupta, a student of Semester II.
