GDC Paloura beats GDC Chenani by 33 runs

JAMMU, Feb 9: Govt. Degree College Paloura trounced Govt. Degree College Chenani by 33 runs in the ongoing inter-collegiate Cricket tournament, being organised by Director of Sports and Physical Education University of Jammu at University Ground, here today.
Batting first, GDC Paloura made 125 runs by losing 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Ajay Sharma made 42 runs, while Akhil Bhagat and Sourav contributed 22 and 14 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Mehboob Bhat took 3 wickets by conceding 17 runs in three overs, while Sehbaz and Krishan claimed 2 wickets each in their four over spells by giving 18 and 23 runs respectively.
In reply, GDC Chenani bundled out at 92 runs and lost the match by 33 runs. Asif scored 19 runs off 15 balls, while Mehboob Bhat made 15 runs in 15 balls and Baljeet contributed 11 runs by facing 13 balls. From the bowling side, Ajay took 4 wickets, while Akhil and Vinod got 2 wickets each.
Saleem-ur-Rehman, Rahul Kumar and Rajkumar acted as umpires,while Manoj was the scorer during the match.
Meanwhile, GDC Kishtwar defeated GDC RS Pura by 83 runs.
