GDC Dharmari organizes Essay Writing Competition

JAMMU, Nov 20: An Essay Writing Competition was organized on the topic “How to Keep India Neat and Clean by Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” by Government Degree College Dharmari in Reasi today.
Dr T R Sharma, Principal of the College was the chief guest on the occasion, who stressed upon students to take active part in this mission of cleanliness and spread awareness among the common masses to fulfill the cherished dream of the father of nation, Mahatama Gandhi.
The students were very enthusiastic about expressing their innovative ideas and possibilities to make India a clean nation keeping in view it rural character and meager resources.
Mushtaq Ahmed, a student of B.A Part -II, Rekha Devi Student of B.A Part-II and Nageena Akhter, a student of B.A Part-I secured first, second and third position respectively. Those who were present on the occasion included Zakir Hussain, Khalid Sajad, Parvana Bhat, Ganesh Dutt, Jatinder Bakshi, Mohd Iqbal and other staff members of the College.
Dr Chander Mohan, Asstt Professor English, Dr Pervaiz Ahmed, Lecturer in Urdu and Bindu Sharma, Teaching Assistant-in-Hindi were the adjudicators.
The programme was co-ordinated by Parvana Bhat, Lecturer in   Sociology, GDC Dharmari.
