JAMMU, Mar 29: The Annual Prize Distribution Function was organized today at Govt. Degree College Dharmari with a lot of enthusiasm and Gusto.
Dr Tilak Raj Sharma, Principal of the college was the chief guest on the occasion, while Dr Chander Mohan, Assistant Professor in English GDC Reasi presided over the function.
The function started with the welcome song by the cultural group of the college. Principal of the College read the annual report and highlighted the achievement of the staff, and the student of the college.
Students presented a variety of colourful cultural programme on the occasion. This colourful bonanza of cultural items enthralled the audience present in the college campus and everyone was all praise for them. The Goujari song highlighting the importance of education in the life of Nomads like Gujjars and Bakarwals was appreciated by all and sundry.
The college management felicitated all the students who have excelled in their distinguished fields. These students were awarded certificates of merit by the chief guest.
The formal vote of thanks was presented by Prof Khalid Sajjad Bohra, staff secretary of the college.
The programme concluded with the singing National Anthem.
