BHADERWAH, July 11: An Intra College Annual Road Race was organized by GDC Bhaderwah today.
The event was organized under the aegis of Prof Davinder Kumar, Principal of the College involving the departments of Physical Education and Sports.
As per the preset schedule of the programme, the road race for boys started from Puneja Bridge to College Gate at 7am and for girls from Halyan School to College Gate at 8 am.
The event was flagged off by Principal Prof Davinder Kumar and SDPO Bhaderwah Adil Risho from Puneja Bridge.
The event culminated at about 9 am.
Early in the morning before the start of the event all the participating students arrived at about 6.20 am in the campus and so did the college staff deployed for the smooth conduct of the event.
The faculty who accompanied the students in the said event were Prof Mushtaq Ahmed, Prof Surinder Singh, Prof Naz Zargar, Prof Pinki Kotwal, Prof Nazir Ahmed, Prof Deepa Kak, Prof Vijay Kumari, Prof Ashwani Kumar and Prof Mohd Taqi. About 50 students both boys and girls participated in said event.
The Police and Health Department Bhaderwah provided security and medical coverage during the entire event.
At the end of the event the student participants declared as winners were also given the prizes in the form of trophies and certificates for encouragement and motivation.
Among the boys category Munish Kumar bagged the first prize, Naresh Kumar was given the second prize and Deepak Sharma secured third prize.
Among the girls category, Sangeeta Devi bagged the first prize, Komal secured second and Kavita Devi was given third prize.
The entire event remained successful and inspirational for the college.
