KATHUA, Apr 30: The Government Degree College (GDC), Basohli, organised the release ceremony of the third edition of its college newsletter “Vishwasthali” with great enthusiasm and academic fervour.
The programme was presided over by MLA Basohli Darshan Kumar as chief guest, while Principal Prof Raj Kiran Sharma attended as special guest. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and floral tribute to goddess Saraswati.
Dr Shubh Kumar, Editor of the newsletter, welcomed the guests and presented an overview of the publication, highlighting its academic and cultural significance. Principal Prof. Raj Kiran Sharma appreciated the efforts of the Newsletter Publication Committee.
The chief guest formally released the newsletter and congratulated the institution for its achievement. He said such publications provide a platform to showcase the talent and ideas of students and teachers, and urged students to remain focused on their goals.
He also highlighted the role of educational institutions in nation-building and assured full support for the college’s development. Faculty members and staff were present in large numbers. The vote of thanks was presented by Dr Verinder Singh, while proceedings were conducted by Dr Ujala Devi.
