DODA, July 6: Friends Cricket Club (FCC) Ghat registered a convincing win over ANK Warriors Bhaderwah by 88 runs in the pre-quarter final of the ongoing All India 15th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship being played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda with the support of District Administration and District Police Doda.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, FCC Ghat set a big target of 224 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Sagar Kalyan top scored with 114 runs while Rahul Chopra contributed 55 runs. From bowling side, Arif Rather, Wasim Ganai, Mubarak and Aaqib Butt took 1 wicket to each.
In reply, ANK Warriors Bhaderwah bundled out for meagre 136 runs, thus lost the match by 88 runs. Anurudh top scored with 37 runs while Arif Rather added 30 runs to the total. From bowling side, Sharad Kumar bagged 4 important wickets while Ankit Tomar claimed 2 wickets. Sagar Kalyan of Friends Cricket Club Ghat was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant batting performance who was given prize by chief guest Dr Shazia Zargar (Gyneocologist GMC Jammu) along with Er Dawood Zargar.
The match was officiated by Harish Raza and Yousuf Raza as umpires while Sandeep Kaushik maintained the scorebook.
