Jammu, June 23: Friends Cricket Club Akhnoor trounced Khour Cricket Club by seven wickets and entered in the semifinal round of the ongoing Ist Pitamber Lal Sharma Memorial Cricket Tournament, being played at Govt Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, here today.
Khour CC won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, the KCC scored 134runs with the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Mannu was the top scorer who made 48 runs while Panku scored 38 runs and Parteek contributed 17 runs. From bowling side, Sahil and Bonny shared three wickets each, whereas Shubam got one wicket.
In reply to inning of KCC, the Friends CC achieved the target by losing only three wickets in 14.1 overs wherein Manik made highest 61 runs, whereas Akash and Arush contributed 31 and 21 runs respectively for their team. From bowling side, Dinesh got two wickets whereas Sonu clinched one wicket.
Manik Sharma of the winning team was declared as Man of the Match. Vikas Bali and Rajinder Sharma acted as umpires and Manav Mehta maintained the score-board.
