Fit India Cyclothon held across 11 Zones

Udhampur, July 15: In a spirited effort to promote health and fitness, the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Udhampur organized a large-scale Fit India Cyclothon across 11 educational zones, here today.
The event was held under the leadership of Romesh Chander Mishra, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Udhampur, who appreciated the enthusiastic response across the district.
In Zone Udhampur, 30 participants (15 male, 15 female) cycled at Mini Stadium Udhampur under the supervision of ZPEO Deep Kumar. Zone Panchari saw 20 cyclists (16 male, 4 female) at GHS Panjar, led by ZPEO Vijay Kumar Jandial. Zone Ghordi hosted 5 participants (4 male, 1 female) from Block Headquarters Ghordi, overseen by IC ZPEO Yash Pal Sharma with officials Nek Ram, Vishnoo Pradeep Sharma, Ravi Kumar Sharma, Sunil Singh, and Dinesh Kumar.
In Zone Jib, 18 participants (10 male, 8 female) joined dual events at HSS Jaganoo and HS Laddan, supervised by ZPEO Jyoti Rani and supported by Ajit Singh PEM, Sanjay Sharma PEM, Ajay Sharma, Raman Gupta PET and Nitin Rathore REK.
Zone Majalta had 15 male participants at GHSS Majalta, flagged off by Principal Rajesh Kumar and ZPEO Kartar Singh. In Zone Chenani, 6 male students participated at HSS Sudhmahadev, under ZPEO Jyoti Rani with Principal Som Raj as chief guest.
Zone Khoon had 12 participants (10 male, 2 female) at PM SHRI GHSS Khoon, under ZPEO Kartar Singh, with support from 18 field staff including Gian Singh, Nisha Sharma and Mohan Lal Gupta. Zone Dudu (Latti to Pundal), Zone Ramnagar (Zone HQ) and Zone Tikri (Tikri to Chanas) saw 15, 15 and 16 male participants respectively. A total of 242 participants (174 male, 68 female) joined the Cyclothon, reflecting growing fitness awareness in the district.
