SRINAGAR, Sept 22: Former Secretary of J&K Sports Council, Er Kiran Watal today met Union Minister of State (MoS) for Youth Affairs and Sports, Nisith Pramanik and discussed various issues regarding development of sports at grassroots level in the Union Territory including Jagti Township at Nagrota, here.
During the interaction, the MoS was apprised about the recent selection of J&K Gymnast Bavleen Kaur to represent the country in the official FIG competition in Rhythmic Gymnastics which is scheduled to be held in Japan from October 27 to 31.
Being vice president of Gymnastics Federation of India and president J&K Gymnastics Association Wattal apprised him about the latest development of the Gymnastics Sports in India as well in J&K.
It is pertinent to mention here that Bavleen Kaur is only Gymnast from India who got a birth to participate in the Individual events in the FIG official 38th RG Championship at Japan.
