DODA, Aug 30: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) conducted selection in the discipline of Cricket U-19 boys at Sports Stadium.
The selection trial was declared open by SR Kotwal, DYSSO, in presence of Qasim Din, incharge activity, Kishori Lal, Dara Singh, Farooq Ahmed, Mubasher Qadir and Vikram Singh.
While speaking, SR Kotwal said that the selection trial was conducted to promote and to give exposure to the hidden talent of the students belonging to far flung areas of district.
Such type of competitions and trials are essential so that the students of this district could get chance at divisional and national level, he added.
He stressed for proper coaching to the selected players to improve the basic skills and co-ordination among the players.
In the selection trials near about 120 students drawn from all zones of district participated.
The selection was conducted by Vinod Kumar PEM and Ifroz Hussain, PET.
