Dy Mayor flags off J&K’s Karate team

JAMMU, Nov 25: Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Purnima Sharma flagged off Karate team of J&K.
The players and officials in the Karate team are going to represent the country in 9th Commonwealth Karate Championship to be held at Durban South Africa from Nov 29 to December 3.
The players in the team are Azmat Bibi, Poonam Salathia, Sahil Singh, Abhijeet Singh, Rajat Singh, Katayani and Deveah Mahajan, where as Ambedkar Gupta General Secretary AKAJK will represent as Indian National Karate team coach.
All players will participate in different age and weight categories of Kumite event.
Deputy Mayor hoped that the team will bring laurels to the Jammu and Kashmir State.
