JAMMU, Nov 22: Dr Poonam Parihar, Associate Professor in the Division of Agricultural Extension Education of SKUAST-Jammu has been awarded with Best Teacher Award by Royal Association for Science-Led Socio-Cultural Advancement (RASSA), during National Conference held on “Natural Farming for Sustainable Agriculture & National Prosperity”.
The event was jointly organized by Sardar Krushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Royal Association for Science-Led Socio-Cultural Advancement and Akshay Krishi Parivar at SDAU, Krushinagar.
The award has been conferred on Dr Parihar in recognition of her excellence in teaching and guiding the students and besides her contribution in extension education in general and entrepreneurship development in particular.
She has authored two books titled ‘Women Entrepreneurs- A Socio Economic Study’ and ‘Impact of Dairy SHs on the Livelihood of Women Dairy Entrepreneurs’. She is also acting as chairperson of RASSA Chapter-Jammu.
