JAMMU, May 24: Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu defeated MHAC Nagbani by 7 wickets to advance in the ongoing Inter-School Cricket Tournament, being organized by the RRL Cricket Academy at the Academy ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, MHAC Nagbani scored 131 runs in 19.2 overs. Arya Sachivansh Thakur to scored with 72 runs off 50 balls, studded with 14 boundaries, while Bobin Chadha contributed 23 runs to the total. For DPS, Archit Sharma was the pick of the bowlers, who bagged 4 important wickets by conceding just 2 runs in his 2 overs, while Ayush Salathia and Shreyansh Jain claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, DPS chased the target easily in 17 overs by losing 3 wickets in the process, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Musaif Ajaz top scored with unbeaten 52 runs off 41 balls, while Aryan Gandhral and Ayush Salathia contributed 25 and 24 runs to the total respectively. For MHAC Nagbani, Aniket, Anmol and Khushvir claimed one wicket each. Musaif was adjudged man of the match for his unbeaten half-century.
