JAMMU, May 21: Dogra Educational Trust today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Guiding and Counselling Cell Gurha Slathia to strengthen collaboration in the fields of education, counselling, skill development, leadership building and community welfare.
The MoU was signed in the presence of prominent representatives from GCC Gurha Slathia, including Col Jaswant Singh Slathia (Retd), Lt Col Mehak Slathia (Retd), Dr Akash Salaria, Virpartap Singh Slathia and Navdeep Slathia. Representing DET were Dr Samardev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust; Dr Bela Thakur, Director, Dogra Educational Trust; RS Katal, Member Governing Body and Academic Committee; Dr Dharamveer Sharma, Dean, Dogra Degree College; Dr Jay Prakash Srivastava, Principal, Dogra Law College; and Dr Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal, Dogra College of Education.
The collaboration aims to promote holistic development of students and youth, especially in rural and semi-urban areas. Under the agreement, both organizations will jointly organize counselling sessions, career guidance programmes, skill enhancement workshops, seminars, legal literacy campaigns, entrepreneurship development activities, sports and cultural programmes, and community outreach initiatives.
The representatives emphasized the importance of institutional and community partnerships in addressing the educational, social and professional needs of the younger generation. They expressed confidence that the collaboration would create new opportunities for student empowerment, leadership development and community participation.
