Dogra Degree College begins FDP on ‘New Age Teaching Techniques’

JAMMU, July 10: Dogra Degree College, under the aegis of its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and in collaboration with ICT Academy, inaugurated a three-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on the theme “New Age Teaching Techniques”, here today at the college auditorium.
The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and presentation of a sapling to the resource person, symbolizing sustainability and the nurturing of knowledge. Faculty members from Dogra Degree College, Dogra Law College, Dogra College of Education and Trikuta Degree College participated in the initiative aimed at enhancing pedagogical practices.
A senior faculty representative delivered the welcome address, highlighting the evolution of FDPs in India from traditional subject training to modern, learner-centric methodologies.
The session was attended by key academic leaders from the Dogra Group of Colleges including heads of institutions and administrative figures, whose presence added significance to the proceedings.
Representing ICT Academy were Lovetesh Kumar, Senior Manager and Ajaz Yousuf, Relationship Manager. Day 1 sessions, led by Arul Jothi A.P., focused on the VAK Learning Model and included interactive activities to enhance teaching outcomes. The FDP continues till July 12, covering topics like emotional Intelligence and Design Thinking.
