KATHUA, Sept 8: The District teams of Doda and Kishtwar have secured their spots in the finals of the Inter-District U-17 Boys Cricket Tournament, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Kathua.
In the first semi-final, Kishtwar clinched victory against Jammu in a thrilling encounter. Jammu set a target of 169 runs in their T20 match. Karanveer’s fiery 31 and Prabdeep Singh’s explosive 65, including 6 sixes, were crucial. Ruhaan Raj Kalra’s unbeaten 27 helped stabilize the innings. For Kishtwar, Mohd Luqman and Rudra Sen were standout performers, scoring 66 and 68 runs, respectively, leading their team to a convincing win.
In the second semi-final, Doda batted first and scored 138 runs with Humam contributing 64 runs. Poonch managed only 128 runs in response, falling short by 10 runs, with Pranav scoring 32 runs for Poonch. The final match will determine the champion of the tournament.
