JAMMU, Mar 21: Divyang Red team trounced Divyang Blue team by 73 runs in final match and clinched the series by 3-2, played at Higher Secondary School Ground Akhnoor, near here today.
J&K Divyang Red team won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Red team scored 133 with loss of 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs, wherein Tousif Malik scored 26 runs, while Gopal Sharma and Abhinav Chahal contributed 18 & 13 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Tarsem Lal got 4 wickets and Gulzar Singh and Kuldeep Raj shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, Blue team bundled out at 60 runs in 15.4 overs wherein Asha Nand made 14 runs, while Ajay scored 12 runs. From the bowling side, Arun Kumar got 4 wickets, while Gopal Sharma got 3 wickets and Tousif Malik and Ajeet Raj clinched 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
Gopal Sharma was declared as man of the match, while Deepak Sharma was adjudged with best batsman and best bowler award went to Tarsem Lal.
Sham Lal Sharma (Former Minister and Senior Vice President BJP) was the chief guest of the event who distributed prizes among the players and advised them to play more games with sportsmanship to remain physically fit.
KD Bhagat (DSP DAR) was the guest of honour and Sushil Sharma, Rajinder Sharma and Pardeep Singh were among the special guests on the occasion.
The five T-20 matches series was organized by Divyang Cricket Control Board of India under the overall supervision of Sham Singh Langeh (Chairman J&K Divyang Cricket Association) along with Ajit Raj organizing secretary.
