JAMMU, Sept 20: Divisional Level Inter-District Kabaddi and District Level Inter Zonal Cricket Tournament, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports District Jammu, concluded here today.
The competitions were organised by the Department of Youth Services & Sports under the patronage of Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Director General Youth Services and Sports and under the overall supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services & Sports Jammu.
Chanchal Kour, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu was the Organising Secretary of the competitions.
The winners were felicitated in an impressive and well attended concluding ceremony at Mini Stadium Parade Ground and MA Stadium, here.
In Kabaddi Under-14 boys, District Kishtwar was awarded walkover, while District Ramban defeated District Doda by 17 points; District Jammu beat District Udhampur by 24-18 points; District Rajouri outplayed District Samba by 58-17 points, District Doda got walkover against District Poonch; District Kathua beat District Kishtwar by 31-20 points; District Rajouri drubbed District Doda by 38-31 points.
In the final, District Jammu beat District Rajouri by 36-35 points.
In Kabaddi Under-17 boys, District Jammu beat District Kishtwar by 52-16 points; District Rajouri trounced District Poonch by 39-10 points; District Samba prevailed over District Doda by 42-40 points; District Kathua trounced District Udhampur by 35-21 points; District Kathua beat District Ramban by 42-22 points;
In semifinal, District Rajouri gotthe better of District Samba by 31-22 points.
In Kabaddi Under-19 boys semifinal, Jammu District outplayed District Udhampur and District Kathua beat District Samba by 41-18 points.
In Cricket Under-19 boys, Jammu/Dansal Zone defeated Akhnoor Chowki Choura.
