JAMMU, May 6: The 22nd Jammu District Sport Climbing Championship shall be organized by Mountaineering Association of J&K in collaboration with Sprawling Buds ICSE School Bantalab, Jammu on May 13.
The competitions to be conducted on the pre fabricated 40ft high Tenzing Norgay Sport Climbing Wall in Sprawling Buds ICSE School campus shall be held in eight categories of men, women (born in 2006 and earlier), boys, girls (born in 2007, 2008 & 2009); sub jr. boys / girls (born in 2010 and 2011) and mini boys/girls (born in 2012 and after).
The competitions in all the categories shall be held in ‘lead climbing’ only. However, there shall be demonstrations in speed climbing by international climbers at the time of inauguration of the championship. However, it may be noted that medal winners of any zonal / national competition are not eligible for this competition
For further information interested climbers/ institutions can contact the general secretary of Mountaineering Association of J&K Shawetica Khajuria (7006099855) on or before May 11.
On the spot registration shall also be done at Sprawling Buds ICSE School from 8 am to 8.30 am on May 13 for a limited number of participants.
