RAJOURI, Oct 28: District Rajouri Athletic, Yoga and Cycling Association organized District Rajouri Athletic, Yoga and Cycling Competitions in collaboration with Department of Physical Education Government PG College here.
55 boys and girls athletes participated in the athletic meet, whereas 62 girls and boys students participated in yoga competition in different age groups. 24 boys and girls cyclists participated in cycling race in different age groups.
Dr Shakeel Ahmed Raina Principal Government PG College Rajouri was the chief guest, who distributed the prizes among the winners. Prof AR Chowdhary President District Rajouri Athletic Association was the guest of honour.
The competition was organized under the supervision of Captain Tanwir Ahmed and Sahil Raina, Balvinder Singh, Maqbool Hussain, Mohammad Suleman, Tasleem Ahmed, Mohammad Bashir and Altaf Ahmed performed the duty of officials and judges. Prof Zamir Ahmed Mirza and Prof. Mohd Abass were the special invitee on the opening ceremony.
In U-14 Athletics (100 meters), Sajid Mehmood, Mehrab Khalid and Mohammad Safi bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 200 meters, Sajid Mehmood, Mohammad Nisar and Ashfaq Qayoom clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In U-16 200 meters, Mohammad Razik, Mohammad Shakeel and Anil Sharma clinched first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in U-20 400 meters, Mohammad Sajad, Fahim-ul-Haq and Mohammad Abdul Rahim Qazi bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In U-20 800 meters, Mustafa, Aijaz Ahmed and Arif Hussain clinched first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 1500 meters, Mohammad Sajad, Mohammad Yaseen and Naseem Aslam clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
Open Category 100 meters, Sahil Sharma, Ajay Kumar and Naseem Aslam bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In Cycling Sub Junior Category (boys), Mehrab Khalid, Mohammad Zayan and Mohammad Shafi clinched first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in Junior Category (boys), Mohammad Abdul Rahim Qazi, Fahim-ul-Haq and Mohammad Awais secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In Cycling (girls), Madeha Hassan, Maliha Hassan and Ismat clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In 8-11 years Yoga (boys), Aman and Arbab bagged first position, Toufeeq and Adil clinched second position and Rizwan and Iftikhar secured third position, whereas in girls category. Bibi Amana bagged first position, Palika and Damini clinched second position and Kiran and Hayab bagged third position. In 11-14 years boys, Irtaza Ali, Naman Kumar bagged first and second positions respectively, while Raghav and Ayed shared third position, whereas in girls category, Sadhna clinched first position, Mubashira and Rutvi clinched second position and Shaista and Savia clinched third position.
