RAJOURI, Oct 27: District Rajouri Athletic Association in collaboration with Department of Physical Education, Govt PG College Rajouri, organised District Athletic Meet at PG College, here.
Around 100 athletes took part in the Meet.
Dr Jaaid Ahmed Qazi, Principal Govt PG College Rajouri was the chief guest on the occasion, while Prof ZA Mirza, Prof Mohd Iqbal Raina and Rakesh Puri, Director Physical Education were the guests of honour.
The event was held under the supervision of of Prof AR Choudhary, President District Rajouri Athletic Association and Irfan Jalal Bhat, organising secretary.
Tanwir Ahmed, Assistant Physical Director was the technical officer of the event.
In 1000 mtrs race, Mohd Waqar stood first, Anees Kasana 2nd and Qamar Zman 3rd, while in 800 mtrs race, Sahil Kumar, Mohd Waaqar and Shakeel Ahmed bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd spots respectively.
In 400 mtrs, Mohd Sajad sttod 1st, Aftab Hussain 2nd and Mohd Shabaz 3rd.
In 100 mtrs sprint, Fahim-Ul-Haq bagged first position, while Lal Hussain claimed 2nd spot.
Aryansh Puri won the gold medal in shot put.
