District Police organizes Cricket tournament

DODA, Mar 14: Senior Superintendent of Police Abdul Qayoom inaugurated Cosco Ball Cricket tournament at Govt. Degree College Bhaderwah under civic action program, here today.
The tournament is being organized by District Police in the memory of Police martyrs who lost their lives for the sake of the nation.
The tournament is open and any team can participate in this contest. Total sixteen teams have entered their names in the contest including Known Cricket Clubs of Bhaderwah.  The inaugural match was played between the Police team and MC Bhaderwah team.
The winner and the runner up teams will be rewarded with trophies and cash awards. Besides, players shall also be rewarded for their better individual performances.
After inaugurating the tournament, SSP Doda in his brief address said that the motto behind conducting such events is to maintain the physique of youth and keep them far away from drug abuse. He appealed to the youth to come forward and take part in games besides concentrating on studies and not to indulge in anti-social activities.
The others who attended the inaugural ceremony include President MC Bhaderwah Shahid Rehman, ADC Bhaderwah, Ch. Dilmir, ASP Bhadarwah Kameshwar Puri, Secretary DLSA Mudassir Farooq, SDPO Bhaderwah Waseem Hamdani, Officers of 4RR, EO MCB, BMO and others.
