JAMMU, Feb 17: To promote the singing talent of youngsters, Kathua Police organized a talent hunt singing competition ‘Chhoona Hai Aasman’ Season-V in District Police Lines Kathua in which 68 candidates (33 in senior category male/female and 45 in junior category male/female) even from far flung areas of the District participated in the competition .
The occasion was graced by SSP Kathua Neeva Jain, SS Rana, Commandant CRPF 121 Bn., Additional SP Kathua, Nasir Ahmed Khan, other officers of District Police Kathua and experts in music fraternity as jury members.
Inderpaul Gupta (Music Teachers) of KV Kathua, Pankaj Pardhan (Music Teacher) of KV Lakhanpur, Manisha (Music Teacher) of Army School Janglote were Judges of singing competition and Joginder Kumar (Teacher) was anchoring the programme.
Suhasini, Ruksar Mughal and Vandana Devi stood first, second and third respectively in senior female category. Dinesh Kumar, Mukesh Kumar and Ashish Kumar stood first, second and third respectively in senior male category.
Ayushi Billowria,Sharmila and Avanshika Mahendru stood first, second and third respectively in Junior Female category. Sahil Kumar, Ankush Majotra and Bankesh Sharma stood first, second and third respectively in junior male category.
The first winners of both male and female categories in both senior and junior groups were awarded with cash prize of Rs. 2000 each and certificates.
Similarly the second and third male/female winners in both pool were awarded with Rs. 1500 and 1000 each respectively alongwith certificates.
SSP Kathua lauded the efforts of the participants for their performances.
