Excelsior Sports Correspondent UDHAMPUR, June 3: District Level Inter Zonal Athletic Meet for Boys and Girls (Under-14 & 17) concluded at Sports Stadium here. On the valedictory function, Sunil Singh Sambyal, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Udhampur was the chief guest. On the second day of the Athletic meet, about 86 girls drawn from 9 zones of the District participated. In U-14 girls (100-meters), Mamta Devi, Sharda Devi and Anju Devi claimed first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 200 meters, Sharda Devi, Priya Devi and Sakshi Devi emerged winners. In 400 meters Manisha Devi, Asmat and Anju Devi claimed top three positions, whereas in 600 meters, Santosh Kumari, Reena Devi and Namita Dogra secured first, second and third positions respectively. In U-14 Discuss Throw, Pooja Devi, Seema Devi and Mamta Devi claimed first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in Shot-Put, Pooja Devi, Sonali Devi and Bandana Devi emerged winners. In U-14 Long Jump, Jyoti Devi and Anju Devi claimed first and second positions respectively. In U-14 girls (100 meters), Shivani, Priyanka and Anju Devi got first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 200 meters, Seema Rajput, Supani Sharma and Anju Devi emerged winners. In 400 meters, Nishad Begum, Ashu Devi and Shikha Verma bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 800 meters, Rajni Devi, Ashu Devi and Shivali Sharma claimed top three ranks. In 1500 meters, Lakshmi Devi, Nishad Begum and Pooja Sharma claimed first, second and third positions respectively. In U-14 High Jump, Rajni Devi and Priya Devi claimed top two ranks, whereas in Discuss Throw, Kusum Lata, Anju Devi and Lakshmi Devi emerged winners, whereas in Long Jump, Shobha Devi and Shivani Devi emerged winners. In U-14 Shot-Put, Nazima Akhter, Shriya Sharma and Kajal Sharma claimed first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in Javlian, Shobha Devi, Veena Devi and Kiran Bala emerged winners. The officials who acted as track and field judges were Raj Kumar Gupta, Rakesh Modi, Raj Kumar, Subash Sharma, Romesh Chander, Raman Kumar, Vaishno Devi, Meenu, Bandana Sharma, Kamaljeet Kour, Rakesh Khajuria and Vikrant Balgotra. Among others present were Ram Lal Badyal, Pawan Kumar, Santosh Kumari, Satish Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Poonam Sharma, Anita Goswami, Parminder Manhas, Ajit Singh, Deepika Manhas, Sushma Rani, Renu Thaploo, Anupama Sharma, Jaswinder Singh, Swarndeep Singh Tara, Ajay Sharma, Som Dev Khajuria, Des Raj Sharma, Parshotam Kumar and Karun Magotra.
