District Jammu Yoga Championship gets underway

JAMMU, Oct 27: District Jammu Yoga Championship got underway at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
Around 100 players participated in the Championship which was declared open by Deepak Handa, President of the Association in presence of Surinder Pathak, General Secretary, Vinod Bhatia, Associate Secretary, Anil Gupta, Dr Jagdish Sharma and Satish Gupta.
The officiating panel included Mukesh Sharma, Vishal Kumar, Shamsher Singh, Harinder Singh, Ritu Chib and Vishu Sharma.
The certificates were distributed among the participants by Dr Ashutosh Sharma, Working President J&K Olympic Association and Satish Gupta.
The first three position holders from various districts will be invited for the State Championship.
In 8 to 11 years girls, Tejasvi Jamwal, Parima Sharma and Muskan won 1st, 2nd and 3rd position, while 8 to 11 years boys, Anmol Saini, Vedant Gupta and Manthan Sharma claimed first, second and third position respectively.
In 11 to 14 years girls, Iva Bharti, Palak Bhagat and Lachiya Angral won 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively, while in 11 to 14 years boys, Rama Kant Beera bagged 1st position, Varub Attri claimed 2nd and Ritvik Sharma bagged 3rd place.
In 14 to 17 years girls, Mrinalini Manhas, Afreen Kour and Himani Verma won 1st three position respectively, while in 14 to 17 years boys, Ketan Sharma clinched 1st position, Mohd Hamza bagged 2nd spot and Anupam Khajuria claimed 3rd.
In 17 to 21 years boys, Baljinder Singh and Dipinjeet Singh claimed 1st and 2nd position respectively.
