POONCH, Mar 5: Two days 6th District Handball Championship, organised by District Association under the aegis of J&K Handball Association with the collaboration of J&K Sports Council for senior men, concluded at Sports Stadium, here today.
Total six teams took part in the Championship wherein Stadium-A trounced the Khari Karmara Club by 34-22 goals in the final match and lifted the trophy.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Munish Sharma was the chief guest of the event, while DTO Poonch Rasheed Rustam was guest of honour and Krishan Lal Sharma (Retd DSO JKSC) was the special guest of the occasion. The final match was officiated by Imtaiz Ahmed Lone (REK), Iqbal (REK) and Ghulam Abass (PET).
TSO Manmohan Suri, Nirdosh Kumar Sharma, I/c Sports Stadium Poonch, Prem Prakash Luthra, Retired ZEPO Narjeet Singh and many officials of the department concerned were present during the final match.
