POONCH, Sept 2: District Poonch Chess Championship, organised by District Chess Association, concluded at Modern Academy, here today.
In under- 19 boys category, Arpit Sudan won 1st position, whereas Bhanu Pratap and Vaibhav Dabur remained 2nd and 3rd respectively, while in Under-17, 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions were bagged by Shahid Mushtaq, Suryansh Raina and Abhay Sudan respectively and in Under-14 category, Krishna Sudan, Daksh Sudan and Anirudh Dabur won 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
In girls open category, Ishika Sharma, Krishika Sharma and Diya Sharma clinched top three positions respectively.
District Development Council Member, Rayaz Naz Choudhary was the chief guest of the occasion while Saleem Banday AEE PHE was the guest of honour, and Narjeet Singh (Retd ZPEO), Pawan Kumar (PEL), Pervaiz Ahmed Malik chairman EHSAAS Foundation and Vijay Kumar (PEM) were present during the event.
The championship was technically supervised by Vikas Sharma as organising secretary, whereas Vijay Kumar was convenor of the championship.
