UDHAMPUR, Feb 26: District Boxing Championship commenced at Mini Stadium, here today.
Shashi Kumar Sharma Director Physical Education Govt. Degree College Reasi was the chief guest of the opening ceremony who introduced the team and exhorted them to play the game earnestly with true sportsmanship and also congratulated and appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee for upliftment of Boxing in the district.
About 70 players from different areas of the district are participating in the championship.
Rajneesh Sharma (Boxing Coach) Organizing Secretary, Rishi Kumar Sharma, Karun Magotra, Ravi Kumar, Vipin Photra, Anshu Brat Khanna, Anil Kumar (Medical Department) and Surinder Pouha (Coach APS Udhampur) were present during the event.
All the bouts are officiated by Rajneesh Sharma, Anzar Anayat and Himanshu Shakher.
In 32-34 kg, Chitranjan-Gold, Summit-Silver, in 34-36 kg, Aryan- Gold and Yashpal – Silver, in 38-40 kg, Sunny – Gold and Arsh Singh – Silver, in 40-42 kg, Mohit – Gold and Shivam – Silver, in 42-44 kg, Shivansh – Gold and Siddarth – Silver and in 52-54 kg, Ankit – Gold and Surya – Silver.
