JAMMU, Dec 24: Dogra College of Education Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, Jammu organized “Display Your Talent” Programme in the College Auditorium with great pomp and show, here today.
The proceedings of the programme began with the lighting of the traditional lamp followed by welcome song presented by Phul Varsha and group.
The welcome address was presented by Shefali Sharma, Vice-Principal Dogra College of Education.
On this occasion, highly attractive and colourful programme was presented by the students of the college belonging to the States of J&K, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttrakhand and Bihar which captivated the audience fully. The displayed items of talent comprised of Solo Performances, Dogri Songs, Punjabi Songs, Skits, Dogri Folk Dances, Fusion Dance, Punjabi Dance, Poem Recitation, Patriotic Group Dance, Display of Talent Round, Disco Performance, Mimicry, Shayari, Hindi Songs and Modelling. More than 50 students participated in the function to make this occasion a memorable one.
Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust was the chief guest on the occasion.
In his address, the chief guest applauded and appreciated the talent exhibited by the students belonging to the different States of India and stated that such programmes enable the students to express their hidden talents in the best desirable way.
Prof B D Damral, Director Academics and Principal, Dogra College of Education emphasised the importance and recognition of hidden talents of the students which always contribute to the development of self confidence and self expression.
Roopali Charak, Komal Mehta, Aprajita Sambyal and Kanchan conducted the programme.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Kr Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust, S L Kotwal, Principal Dogra Institute of Elementary Teacher Training, Bela Charak Academic Co-ordinator, Dogra College of Education.
Later, vote of thanks was presented by Indu Puri, Lecturer.
