DIET Jammu organizes “district level quiz competitions”

JAMMU, Oct 1: The District Institute of Education and Trainings (DIET) Jammu organized district level quiz competitions at secondary level in Science, Maths, Hindi and Social Sciences today at different venues.
In Mathematics quiz competition held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Rehari the team of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bakshi Nagar bagged first position, while teams of Government Higher Secondary School Jourian and Girls Higher Secondary School Miran Sahib stood at second and third position respectively.
In Science quiz competition held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Canal Road Jammu the team of Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Canal Road bagged first position while the teams of Govt. Higher Secondary School Pargwal remained at second and Govt. Higher Secondary School Kathar( Akhnoor) at third positions respectively.
In Social Science quiz competition held at Government Girls High School Gandhi Nagar the team of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Satwari stood first and the team of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Julaka Mohalla remained at second position while the team of Government SRML Higher Secondary School Jammu remained at the third position.
In Hindi quiz competition held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bakshi Nagar Jammu the team of Government Higher Secondary School Kah Pota(Dansal) bagged first position while the team of Government Girls High School Narayana (Khour) stood at second position and the team of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Bakshi Nagar Jammu remained at third position.
91 out of 120 students participated in all the quiz competitions. Each team comprising 3 students was invited to contest in the said competitions from Higher Secondary Schools and High Schools of Jammu district.
The whole activity was carried out under the guidance and supervision of Mohinder Singh Principal DIET Jammu and with the full co-operation by DIET faculty members. Prizes were distributed among the teams who bagged first, second and third positions in each subject by the Head of the Institutions where the venues were.
The sole aim of the activity was to make aware and update the student community with latest trends and to enhance their knowledge about day to day happenings around us.
