Dhvani of Jodhamal bags 1st position; Shireen, Tejiswini of Presentation Convent lift Rolling Trophy

JAMMU, Apr 27: Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Jammu, organized The Annual Nano Nagle Memorial (NNM) Inter School Debate in the School Auditorium, here today.
Sushma Chauhan, Director, Urban Local Bodies was the chief guest on the occasion, while Prof Seema Mir Arshad, Head, Department of English, GCW Parade, Ansuya Jamwal and Archa Jain were the adjudicators of the event.
The house debated on the hotly contested topic ‘Women Empowerment is a myth in India’.
In all, 14 schools participated from across Jammu/Srinagar.
All the participants put forth their opinions convincingly and vehemently.
In this battle of wits, the ardent participants, not only presented their steadfast opinions on the topic but also displayed their oratorical skills making the venue abuzz with palpable excitement. Dhvani Gupta of Jodhamal Public School bagged the first position, while Aditi Sharma of MHAC, Nagbani and Nidhi Choudhary of Stephens International were adjudged second and third respectively.  Salmeen Hussain of Army Public School, Jammu Cantt received the Consolation Prize.
However, the coveted Rolling Trophy was lifted by Presentation Covent Senior Secondary School, represented by its students namely Shireen Kalra and Tejiswini Sharma.
The chief guest, Sushma Chauhan, in her address congratulated the participants for their hard work.
She appreciated the host school for giving this golden opportunity to all for cross pollination of ideas and to form collaborations from where learning can emanate.
