JAMMU, Dec 4: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Delta Force distributed sports equipment for the students of Government Schools Batibass, Govindpura, Hingni, Sarbagni and Baderkot, village of Ramban district under Sadbhavana initiative.
Kits for cricket, football, hockey, chess, badminton, carrom and athletic items were distributed to these schools, with an aim to give impetus to sports in far flung and remote areas of the district. Delta Force troops at Nachlana came forward to provide sports items to the students.
Sports items were handed over to Headmasters of Government Schools in the presence of school staff, Sarpanch and prominent persons of the respective areas.
The teachers and students of the schools appreciated the role of the Indian Army for providing facilities and thus motivating them to excel in the field of sports and games.
