Delhi Wrestler Kapil lifts 15th Karua Kesari Dangal title

KATRA, June 14: Wrestler Kapil of Guru Hanuman Akhara Delhi lifted the 15th Annual Karua Kesari Dangal title 2017 by defeating Wrestler Kaka of RS Pura, Jammu in the first malli bout that lasted for 16 minutes at Village Karua, near here.
The Dangal was organized by Karua Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma and President of Karua Dangal Committee, Master Banarsi Lal.
In all, 48 bouts were played in this one day long Dangal.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babu Ram, who was the chief guest, donated Rs. 11,000, prize money of 1st malli to the organizers.
Winner of 1st malli main bout Wrestler Kapil received a cash prize of Rs. 6,000 by Babu Ram Sharma, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Master Banarsi Lal while runner up Wrestler Kaka got Rs. 5,000 by Sarpanch Ram Parkash, Z.E.O Pouni Gopal Krishan Komal and SHO Reasi Jasbir Singh.
2nd main bout was won by Paula of Himachal Pradesh who defeated Dillar Khan of J&K Police, 3rd bout was won by Bobari of Sarore who defeated Bhura of Himachal Pradesh and another bout was won by Sachin of Delhi who defeated Munner Khan of Nagrota. Sachin of Delhi was adjudged as best Wrestler of the Dangal. He was cash awarded with Rs 500.
